Do you have to wear your hair pin straight to be modern?

It seems like all girls my age (13 years old) wear their hair pin straight and long. my hair is semi straight naturally but i wear it in tight waves (by braiding it wet every night). i usually pull it back in a cool ponytail or secure it back with bobby pins. it actually looks a lot like cote de pablo's hair (a href="http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Galleries/Shows/M_R/Na_Nh/NCIS/season4/ncis52.jpg)" rel="nofollow"http://static.tvguide.com/MediaBin/Galle…/a but mine is blond. sometimes i feel like i should wear it straight because everybody else is. would it be more modern to wear it straight? or can my hair still be cool, but not the same as everyone elses?
