No name pitch in mlb 11 the show?

I was playing mlb 11 the show and was playing against the giants in road to the show, and the pitcher winds up and he releases the pitch early and seems like it will go over the catchers head but then breaks down into the middle of the strike zone. After it showed as the pitch info "- - 50mph". Can you please help me figure out what this is because I am really confused.
