If he's very religious then you should probably go with a biblical name. John, Aaron, Adam, Daniel, Joshua, Benjamin, Jacob, Caleb, Gabriel, Zachariah, Timothy. All of these can be turned into nicknames that would fit an 11 year old: Zach, Timmy, Jake, Gabe, Ben, Josh, etc.
